Offense

Charlie Whitehurst didn't play in Seattle's 33-3 loss at Oakland.   Whitehurst has yet to take a snap this season as the back-up QB behind starter Matt Hasselbeck in Seattle.  Hasselbeck was banged-up in the loss and their is a possibility that Whitehurst could start in Week 9.

James Davis was cut by the Browns on Monday night.  Davis was later picked up by the Washington Redskins and signed to their Practice Squad.

C.J. Spiller had 6 carries for 17 yards in Buffalo's 13-10 OT loss at Kansis City.  Spiller also hauled in 4 catches for 28 yards.  The Bills who traded Marshawn Lynch to Seattle on October 5th gave the bulk of the carries to Fred Jackson.

Jacoby Ford caught two balls  for  22 yards in Oakland's blowout win over Seattle.  Ford had also added one rush for 11 yards.  Ford was targeted three times by Jason Campbell.

Barry Richardson started at OT in the Kansas City Chiefs 13-10 victory at home over the Buffalo Bills. Richardson has started the Chiefs first 6 games on the season at tackle.  Bug Barry has been the most consistently productive offensive player out of the former Clemson Tiger's in the NFL.

Nick Eason had one assist in the Steelers’ 20-10 loss at the Saints.  Eason has 1.5 sacks on the season from his DT position.  Eason is used primarily as a pass rushing specialist by the Steelers.

Chris Clemons recorded one solo tackle in the Dolphin's 22-14 win over the Bengles.  Clemons also dropped a sure fire interception and then batted the ball in the air right to Terrell Owens who walked into the endzone.

Brain Dawkins returned to the line-up after missing two weeks with a strained knee ligament two.  Dawkins recorded 6 solo tackles in the Bronco's 24-16 loss against the 49ers.  The game was played in London.
