We posted this as a comment in the "Billy D'Andrea In Talks With Coastal Carolina" blog over an hour ago, but Billy D'Andrea official withdrew his name from consideration to become the new Athletic Director at Coastal Carolina yesterday.
D'Andrea strongly considering the position, but in the end decided to stay at Clemson University.
i guess you guys sit around and wait for Larry Williams at TI to post this news and then just take it and post on your blog. Nice work!

ReplyDeleteI'd like to see Jeff Davis be given the AD myself. Not sure Billy-D isn't a yes-man like TDP (after all, Billy-D was the face of the seating restructuring a couple years ago that caught a ton of flak. Came off to me as a bit aloof and careless of the fans). Don't know much about Hamilton but I wouldn't be opposed I guess. Anyone know what he's accomplished at UT other than hiring Bruce Pearl?
ReplyDeleteHe hired Lane Kiffin. He's not scared to go after big names b/c he wants to win. He has his BS and his masters from Clemson. He's a Clemson guy.
