C.J. Spiller - A True Clemson Tiger

By The Avenue of Champions (aoc.clemson@gmail.com)

All is not well inside Clemson's Athletic Department, but CJ Spiller personifies everything that is right with Clemson Athletics. A leader on and off the field, a outstanding student and one of the best players to ever wear the Tiger Paw. The only Clemson Tiger to every run for a TD, catch a TD pass, return a KO for a TD, return a punt for a TD and throw a TD pass on top of being the all-time all-purpose yardage leader in the ACC.

Clemson needs more players and people like CJ Spiller.

In this video, The Avenue of Champions salutes a true Clemson Tiger and a true American in C.J. Spiller.

The video clip includes all nineteen of Spiller's 50+ yard plays over the course of his career.

Thanks to everyone that worked on getting this video together over the last 10 days.

  1. Wow. Something positive and not trying to stir the pot?

    I'm lost for words.

  4. Four days later, and I still can't help but laugh that a Clemson blog is titled Avenue of CHAMPIONS.
Champions of, um ... what? Apparently, champions of college careers by the likes of Spiller wasted on a sad one-hit-wonder of a middling ACC program.
Bottom line: Spiller should have been a Gator.

  5. Avenue of Champions is a lot right next to the stadium. At least do research before trying to make a point.

  6. Awesome video, thanks for taking the time to put it together!

  7. AOC is a street that runs right by the stadium... but thanks for trying!

  8. Okay, Brian and Anonymous, that is even more pathetic. Avenue of Champions needs to be renamed Avenue of 7th Place in the ACC.

Whether it is a lot next to the stadium or a street, it's a joke. Just like your program.

  9. Last commenter, where did you go to school?
If our program is such a "joke" then why are you wasting your time reading and comment. "Avenue of Champions" is a street name and the picture of that street sign is on the main page of the blog at the top.
So calm down and breathe...everything is going to be fine. The easiest way for a blog title to not annoy you is to go about your business and stop reading it! Simple!

  10. Actually, it is my business. I pull for your rival. You know, the guys who have passed you by.

  11. Great video. Need to add yet another run to it though, as of 10/17!

  12. I didn't say it wasn't your business. I said to go about your business if the title of the blog bothers you so much. So sensitive.

If by rival, you mean South Carolina, I respectfully defer to your record against us. We win. Argument over.

USC is certainly playing well NOW, but I don't think you can predict what will happen this Thanksgiving or the rest of the season any more than I can. Both Clemson and Carolina have a habit of imploding mid season - your time will come, my friend.

  13. I'm sure Spiller wouldn't mind telling you guys to kma after your blatant destructive blogging.

  14. I think spiller would agree that even though this post is positive toward him, it slaps the rest of the team in the face. thumbs up on the video, but it would be better with out your words.
