The Raider's offense struggled mightily in the first half managing only 54 yards, but the defense was able force a late interception in the end zone and went into half down only 10-0. Ford took the second half kickoff to his left, found a seem, made one move and speed untouched into the end zone bringing the Raiders to within three points. After the Chiefs added a FG to extent the lead to 13-7, Jason Campbell found Ford on 16 yard reception on a drive that ended in a touchdown giving the Raiders a 14-13 lead.

In the fourth quarter, Jason Campbell found Ford on a critical 3rd and 8 for 38 yards down to the Kansas City 8 yard line. Clemson's Charlie Whitehurst Struggles In His NFL Debut

Charlie Whitehurst made his first professional start in place of injured quarterback, Matt Hasselbeck, who was on Sunday with a concussion. Whitehurst who hadn't seen a live snap in his career prior to yesterday struggled to find a rhythm leading an offense that was clearly overmatched against New York Giants defense. The Giants rolled up an easy 41-7 victory.

Seattle tried to bring Whitehurst along slowly focusing on the short passing and intermediate game in the first quarter with little success going three and out in each of their three possessions. The Giants were able to opened up a quick 21-0 lead during that timeframe forcing Seattle to try to open up the offense in the second quarter, but Clipboard Jesus’ first attempt downfield was intercepted in the end zone by Terrell Thomas. The Giants were capitalized on the turnover opening up a 28-0 lead. Whitehurst was able to move the offense downfield on the next possession only to be intercepted again this time by Cory Webster. The Giants tacked on another touchdown and went up 35-0. On their last possession before the half, the Seahawks went 3 and out.

In the third quarter the Seahawks went three and out on their only two possession while the Giants added another touchdown making the score 41-0.

In the fourth quarter, Whitehurst lead a 3 play 70 yard scoring drive culminating in a 36 yard TD pass to Ben Obamano. Whitehurst was 2-2 for 44 yards on the drive. The Giants took the kickoff and bleed the remaining time off the clock.

Whitehurst finished the game completing 12 of his 23 passes for 113 yards and 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions. Hasselbeck is expected to return to the line-up next week when Seattle travels to Arizona.

DoucheItDownANotch Is The Most Douchey Site On The Internet

Douche It Down A Notch is a new Clemson themed website and blog who's stated goal is "A Website For Spreading Clemson Classiness." The website mainpage lists what is considered Douchey, Not Douchey along with If Your Upset - What A Classy Tiger Should Do.

Sure you shouldn't yell obscenities in public or be a jerk to other people, but a website and blog that's main focus is to make Clemson Fans aware of this is pretentious and douchey itself.

No site that has "Douche" in the name can be considered classy.

Clemson Deserves Better Billboard

Venting.

It has taken place around the water cooler and the watering hole long before Princeton recorded the first defeated season in college football history back in 1869. The ability to make your frustrations heard by the masses was taken to new heights when Al Gore invented the Internet and hasn't looked back since. Message board meltdowns are now so common that a blog has a weekly article cataloging the best of the best.

Rarely does the frustration escalate beyond the confines of the interwebs, but on the rare occasion that it boils over, a Disgruntled Fan Billboard, is almost certainly going to be involved in the fallout.  The Disgruntled Fan Billboard has appeared in the past in Arizona lamenting the fact that Arizona had gone 9 straight years without going to a bowl.  Futility matched only by powerhouses such as Baylor, Duke and Vandy.  The Disgruntled Fan Billboard's closest cousin, The Disgruntled Fan Banner Flyover, was spotted above the Orange Bowl encouraging the university to "Fire Larry Coker."

Most recently The Disgruntled Fan billboard was seen in South Bend with a Linebacker Alumni sarcastically giving his "Best Wishes To Charlie Weis In The 5th Year Of His College Coaching Internship."

Now The Disgruntled Fan Billboard appears to be coming to Clemson.

Personally, I am ambivalent towards the whole idea. I do not support the idea of a billboard, but I am not going to condemn it either. It definitely isn't the way I would go about trying to enact change, but I am not going to criticize anybody for trying to take a stand against the lack of leadership and lack of results in Clemson's Athletic Department.

I do think this design (seen above) if it is ultimately the final design as claimed misses the mark completely and will be largely ineffective and dismissed by both the Administration and the Athletic Department. The website is pretty good overall, but lacks ideas on how to achieve their stated goal. Requesting that visitors send respectful letters/emails/calls to the BOT along with providing their contact information and form letters would help advance their mission.

The billboard has been roundly criticized primarily because of its perceived affect on recruiting. It is a valid concern, but recruiting is effected much more by putting a bad product on the field than it is by a billboard that focuses on the Administration and Athletic Director.

The billboard has also been criticized for airing Clemson's dirty laundry in public. At the end of the day if the Administration and Athletic Department did their job and hired competent leaders then this wouldn't be an issue. Clemson would not have a losing record in all fall sports against ACC competition. By failing to address obvious problems, fans will naturally get frustrated and when convention methods fall on deaf ears and fail to yeild results, eventual it will boil over and manifest itself into public displays of discontent.

Weigh in with your thoughts on the billboard by leaving a comment.
